Best Concept Cars of the 2012 Chicago Auto Show

If you want to see the future of what your next new car might look like, the 2012 Chicago auto show had plenty on display. Several of the concept cars we already covered from the 2012 Detroit auto show made the journey and where present as well.>

You had the Chevrolet CODE 130R, the Chevy Sonic Boom, the Chevy TRU140S and the ultra hot Lexus LF-LC on display. You had the more practical concepts like the Nissan Pathfinder on display as well as the Acura ILX and Acura RDX on display. Instead lets look at the new cars we didn't get to see in Detroit. Like the recently unveiled Kia Track'ster concept. A modified Kia Soul with a much bigger personality, it sports AWD, a bigger engine, a wider stance and flared fenders. Its chopped look is very bullish and garnered a lot of attention from those looking for what the upscale future of Kia may look like.>

Of course of all the upscale designs, the hottest was the Cadillac Ciel. This roofless wonder featured suicide doors and a low slung hot look all on massive 20" tires. It was unveiled in late August but it's just now starting to make the auto show circuit for display to the public. It's an impressive design and teases several future upscale designs and options we may see in future Cadillacs.>



Volvo however choose to tackle not just design elements, but focused a large amount of time in their new concept car with a personal moniker... the Volvo You. Also sporting rear hinged rear doors, the wide folding doors gave a glimpse into what the interior of future Volvo's may look like. Including floating seats, sectioned sunroofs, and a tablet like touch screen front console to control the cars telemetric systems. It also sports a tight looking front end and the oversized tires so popular in today's concepts.
